The Parts

As I said before, there are 8 diferent parts that can go into making a computer. A Tower Case, Graphics Card,
Processor, Memory, Storage, Motherboard, Cooler, and a Power Supply. Let's start learning about the Processor.
Processor is short for Central Processing Unit, or CPU. This acts as the brains of the Computer. It basically
carries out the instructions of a computer program. Simply put the Control Unit. If you are planning
to buy a CPU for your very own Computer, prices can range from around $50 all the way to $2000.
There are two primary manufacturers of CPU's, AMD and Intel. If you are looking to get either one of these
CPU's make sure that your motherboard supports that type of CPU.

When buying your motherboard, you will have to decide which size you want. The most poular sizes are the
following, Mini ITX, Micro ATX, and Standard ATX. This form factor of motherboards will depend on
personal prefrence and sometimes te size of your Tower Case, since this is where your motherboard will be housed.

The Tower Case is proabbly the simplest of all these parts. It is the case in which all of your components will remain
while the PC is functional. Prices for a Tower Case start at as low as $25 and can go up to $500. The Tower Case
also does some other things such as cool your PC with incuded fans. This will depend on wheather the case
you got came with fans inside.

The cooling of your PC is incredibly importent. If you don't have the proper cooling, you computer can overheat and this can
affect you perfomence, and in some extreme cases, can even break your PC. For your CPU, you will have two different
options for cooling. Stock and Water. For Water cooling, you can get a radiater and put that on one of the inside walls of
your Tower Case, and that will connect to a pump which will be bolted onto the motherboard right above the CPU.
For stock cooling, all you have to buy is a fan that comes attached to a heatsink. Similar to the Water Pump, this will be
bolted onto the motherboard right above te CPU. Generally the price of a Cooling system doesnt go anything above $100,
but some customized ones might in rare instances.

In order to power your computer, you will need to purchase a Power Supply. Prices of this start
at around $100 and can go to to prices upwards of $1000. Power Supply's come in a few different sizes.
Examples are ATX and ITX. When buying a Power Supply you also have to decide how many watts you want it to
output. This will depend on what other parts you have inside your computer. Middle ground which is about 650 watts to a little
higher which goes up to 1250 watts.

RAM is up next. Memory, or RAM, acts as your computers data storage. The consumer will have to decide
how many bigabyes of RAM they want to purchase. This will depend on how many DIM slots are on your motherboard.
If there are 4 DIM Slots on your motherboard, you can fit four sticks of RAM. Each stick will have a certain number
of gigs inside. There are also several different typws of RAM, such as DDR1, DDR2, DDR3, and DDR4. The prices
of RAM kits start at below $100 and go up to $1000.

One of the last parts needed to build your PC is storage. The two most popular types of starge today
are Hard Drives and Solid State Drives. The main difference between these being that an SSD is faster than
a Hard Drive and doesn't come with a loud fan and disk. It is also much smaller, but is much
more expensive. The sorage of your device is where your operating system will be put once you
downlaod it and any other downloads you do once you have your PC up and running.

This final part is not necessary to run your computer, but if you plan to do video editing or gaming on your PC, it is very
popular. A Graphics card, also known as a GPU, outputs the visuals that your computer will produce through the
instructions you give it. And thats it, you now have built yourself your very own Computer.
